Learning Log

So, today, we did geography. The focus was on South America. We had to find things on the map and label them on our own map.

The learning intention was to be able to see if you can find something or a place on the South American map in the atlas, and be able to label it on your own map (eg: Brazil, Cape Frio, a Peninsula, etc.)

For me, it was fairly easy to find something or a place on the South American map and then labelling it on my own map. I am still a little confused on what a peninsula is. I read the definition and I found it on the map but still... I'm a bit confused. I also couldn't figure out where to put it on my map because you couldn't really tell where it was supposed to go.

Skills you could use NOT in humanities is if you are figuring out where you want to go for a vacation. You're going to want to know how to read a map so you can find the places. Also, if you are ever drawing a map, you need to be able to draw everything and be able to label it too.

HOMEWORK- no homework for tonight!!!!!!

The only thing is is that your portfolio should be done because we are going to start going through them with Ms. Lees
