Today we had double block Humanities so we got to watch a movie called "First Night" for both blocks. We still didn't finish the whole movie. This movie was sort of like a treat for us but we also have a tiny bit of homework on it. We got a sheet of paper (double sided) and on the first page it asks us 8 questions about things that happened in the movie and we have to answer them. The other side of the page are 6 questions that we didn't have to do but we will be discussing them tomorrow in class.
Learning Intention
The learning intention for watching this movie was to get us started on the Roman Empire that we will be working on for a while. It showed us how people acted and what they wore back in the day and it gave us some information about King Arthur and the wars his village was having with other people.
My Reflections/Connections
All we did today was watch a movie so it wasn't hard at all because we just needed to keep our eyes on the screen. While the movie was playing we had a chart that had 4 columns labelled "Nobility, Peasants, Religons, Fighting" and we just had to take some notes about things for these columns which was easy. The connections this could have is you can use this information in different classes when your older such as Social Studies because it was based on the Roman Empire.
Homework
- Practice for the Spelling Bee because we are having it tomorrow in class
- Finish your questions based on the movie which is due Monday

ReplyDeleteNot bad but a few errors. The movie is set during the Middle Ages (after the fall of Rome). Reflections/connections could use more thought. We will discuss this in class further next week.
