What We Did

Today Ms.Lees asked us to all get into our novel
groups and get organized with our webs/ concept maps. Most of the groups got their
good copy started. You could put lots of information on the paper Ms.Lees handed us because of the big size of paper. My group got the full size and other groups had the half size. With mutiple things to do everbody did their part. My group worked pretty well. We had a bit of a problem at first but after awhile we all worked hard. Since you also have to present it we decided to work on that at home. I don't think any of the other groups had any major problems. I guess all of us overall worked well because Ms.Lees told us that we did a good job staying on task.

Why We Did It

We did concept mapping for our future when we nned to organize ideas. Webs also help us study key ideas. Also the diagrams we are learning are also very important in our future. Concept mapping tends to have a small amount of key ideas but has a lot of details. Learning this type of stile is important. Not only is this concept mapping but it is also discussing with your peers. This gives you oral experiance as well as learning more about combining ideas. All the members of my group had good ideas. I think this is a good thing about working in groups. You not only get the job done faster but you get new ideas that you may have not even thought of.

Connections/Reflections

I thought my group was working fairly well. We started our good copy after we had all our information. I think that giving and recieving ideas is a good way to dicuss and learn. We might use this skill in our future. Most job need you to dicuss. I mean if you want to be a lawyer this is like all you do! If you are the are a writer you need skills like concept mapping beacause you need key ideas,visuals and details. Concept mapping is also a way to use mutiple diagrams and visuals. I you want to be an artist this is also a major skill. Any job I can think of needs little skills like this.

Homework

Work on your web. If you have not finished your paragraph make sure they are handed in to Ms.Lees as soon as possible.
