What we did:
Today we had a double block Humanities class. For our entire first block, we worked on writing notes from Chapter 2 'Pathways'. We had to create either an outline, Cornell Notes, or a web. We wrote about Medieval Life and Custom.
After break when we came back for second block, we finished up the notes we took in our first block. After we were done that, we had to make a venn-diagram comparing roles of women. We had to compare the women from the Middle Ages, to the women today. Once we were finished that, we had to show the teacher our work and start working on our Chapter 8 ''There will be wolves' questions.
Why we did it:
We did this for both blocks because it helps us improve on our note-taking. Writing down notes also helps us memorize facts from the textbook instead of just reading it over once and forgetting. In the textbook, it makes certain words bold and gives us the definition of the words on the side and what they mean in the text book which helps us improve on our grammar and spelling. Making words bold also help us concentrate on the more important words in the textbook which is why they give us the definition.
Reflections/Connections:
Most of us stayed quiet today because we were busy taking notes so it helped us concentrate. What we did today was really easy for me since all we did was read parts of the textbook and wrote down the information we thought was important.
Taking notes will help us a lot in the future. People that are older go to meetings at work and they need to take proper notes. We also need to take notes in almost every other class so doing this helps us improve on the way that we take notes.

-Stay quiet in class so people can concentrate and get more work done
